Sales Representative - Cape Town

Our client in the Manufacturing industry is looking to employ an experienced and driven Sales Representative to join their growing team based in Cape Town.

Requirements

• Matric or equivalent.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience, ideally within composites, plastics, chemicals, or advanced manufacturing environments.

• Own vehicle and willingness to travel frequently to client sites.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presenting to technical audiences.

• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas and managing complex B2B sales cycles.

• Ability to read technical data sheets and understand composite manufacturing processes (e.g., resin infusion, hand lay-up, filament winding, and pultrusion).

• Highly organised, capable of balancing independent field travel with structured office administration.

Responsibilities but not limited to

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across key composite sectors by calling to set up appointments & canvassing industrial areas.

• Conduct regular field visits to prospective and existing clients to understand their manufacturing processes and material needs.

• Prepare and follow up on quotes, and technical enquiries based on customer requirements and technical specifications.

• Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, ensuring seamless order processing by collaborating with production, supply chain, technical, and invoicing/accounts.

• Provide technical support and product selection guidance to clients over the phone and via email.

• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and raw material price fluctuations to help adjust sales strategies.
