A well-established independent automotive battery supplier is looking for a driven Sales Representative to expand its footprint across the Johannesburg region. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused sales professional with experience in the automotive aftermarket to grow an established product range while developing new business opportunities.
Remuneration: Market related – Basic salary + Lucrative commission structure + Fuel + company vehicle + Cell phone allowances. Benefits including Provident Fund, Medical Aid Contribution Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include
- Develop new business within the automotive aftermarket.
- Call on workshops, fitment centres, battery retailers, spares shops and fleet operators.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Identify new sales opportunities and open new trade accounts.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback.
- Submit regular sales, pipeline and customer activity reports.
- Represent the company professionally within the market.
Requirements
- Proven external sales experience within the automotive aftermarket.
- Experience selling automotive batteries, parts, lubricants, tyres or related products highly advantageous.
- Existing network within the Johannesburg automotive trade will be beneficial.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Computer literate.
- Valid driver's licence essential.
- Willing to travel extensively throughout Johannesburg and surrounding areas.
- Must have experience marketing automotive products to resellers and end
