Meat processing company based in Pinetown is looking for a sales & marketing manager to lead and nurture the sales team to provide the highest levels of customer service whilst delivering profitable sales growth that is aligned to market opportunity and business forecast. Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Sales/Marketing Minimum 10 years of experience in sales management role. Demonstrated track record of growing sales and/or improving attained margin in a medium-to-large-size business. Experience in dealing with modern and traditional retailers and/or wholesalers. Responsibility: A sales manager’s foremost responsibility is to lead the sales department in fulfilling the set sales targets. They are expected to contribute to the growth of the business by using insights and analytics to make data- driven decisions. Sales managers set the sales goals based on a company’s objectives and a sales teams capability. They plan and execute sales strategies that have the potential to drive business growth. Creating a short, medium and long-term sales strategy with the intention of achieving the given objectives. Actively looking for possibilities to upsell and cross sell to existing customers. Management of customer relationships Management of key accounts Acquisition and development of new accounts Reporting and Operations Responsible for coaching existing and new salespeople and conducting regular performance reviews to help employees enhance their career skills. Overseeing pre to post-sales support activities for the designated goods and regions while guaranteeing the greatest level of customer service and satisfaction. Line and Staff operational planning, through which procedures are established in advance, against which the quality and quantity of work may be controlled. Organisation, the setting up of a structure of responsibilities and normal interrelations – charting the organisation, assigning responsibility, delegating authority, tracing accountability, and clarifying the character of collaboration. Administration by which management meets the planned objectives through guidance and evaluation of activity, including sales training, motivation, coordination, and execution.
