A well-established company in the transport and logistics industry is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to drive business growth, develop strong client relationships, and generate new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in transport sales , with experience in consolidation being highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to grow revenue and market share.
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the transport and logistics sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Manage the full sales process, from lead generation through to closing deals.
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for business growth.
Prepare sales reports and provide regular feedback to management.
Travel locally and internationally when required to meet clients and explore new business opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years' sales management experience within the transport industry .
Experience in transport consolidation will be highly advantageous.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.
Strong knowledge of the transport and logistics industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Strong business development and networking abilities.
Valid driver's licence.
Own reliable vehicle is essential.
Must be willing and able to travel outside South Africa when required .
