Start free — we apply for you →SALES MANAGER – MINING AUTOMATION Location: Middelburg, Mpumalanga Industry: Mining / Engineering / Automation Employment Type: Permanent Salary: R140,000 – R160,000 Plus Commission ABOUT THE ROLE An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Sales Manager to lead sales and business development within the mining automation and heavy equipment industry. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, develop strategic customer relationships, lead a sales team and expand market presence across Southern Africa. This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role requiring a strong commercial mindset, technical understanding and a proven track record of selling high-tech solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage a sustainable sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling and business development.
- Drive sales campaigns and expand the customer base across Southern Africa.
- Lead, motivate and manage the sales team, ensuring performance against sales targets and KPIs.
- Manage sales forecasts, CRM updates and reporting to local and international management.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior and executive-level customers.
- Develop and present tailored value propositions and technical sales solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic customer accounts.
- Attend industry events, trade shows and exhibitions to generate leads.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and sales data to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and business partners to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Travel extensively throughout the region to develop business and maintain customer relationships.
