Mining Sales Engineers — take your technical sales expertise into the Steelpoort mining belt. Duties & Responsibilities

A growing engineering solutions business is looking for a Sales Engineer to develop business across the Steelpoort and Lydenburg region. This is a field-based opportunity for a technically minded salesperson who understands the mining environment and can turn customer requirements into engineering solutions.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales or business development

• Exposure to the mining, engineering, electrical or industrial sectors

• Strong client relationship and new business development skills

• Valid driver’s licence

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region

• Strong technical, commercial and communication skills

Job Experience & Skills Required

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within mining operations

• Build relationships with mine operations, engineering teams, procurement, contracts and project teams

• Conduct regular site visits and customer meetings

• Understand technical requirements and operational challenges and identify suitable solutions

• Develop and maintain a strong sales and project pipeline

• Prepare commercial proposals and client solutions

• Work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements

• Assist with tender responses and submissions

• Identify upcoming mining projects and new opportunities within the region

• Monitor competitor activity and market developments

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients

• Drive new project revenue and contribute to overall commercial growth

• A technical qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Instrumentation or a related engineering field would be advantageous
