QUAL & EXP: • Matric / Grade 12 with English and Mathematics. • Relevant Technical Diploma or Engineering qualification. • Preferably at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant technical environment. • Proven technical sales or business development experience. • Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding. • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems. • Mining or heavy equipment experience would be advantageous. • A sales qualification would be advantageous. • Willingness to travel throughout South Africa.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Identify and develop new business opportunities. • Prospect and conduct cold canvassing within allocated regions. • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers. • Deliver technical presentations and prepare accurate quotations. • Recommend equipment solutions suited to operational requirements. • Provide after-sales support and assist with commissioning when required. • Conduct basic fault-finding and identify opportunities for optimisation. • Maintain sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates. • Meet agreed sales targets and budgets. Strong communication, negotiation, planning and customer service skills are essential.
