Sales Consultant Retail Store

Introduction

Listed group in the retail industry requires above average sales professional for their upmarket store based in Umhlanga.

This role will suit a seasoned retail sales professional , who wants to achieve new highs in this competitive and challenging profession! The ideal candidate must see this role as a life-time career, and strive to achieve career milestones in order to progress professionally to the new hights.

The successful candidate MUST have HARD COPY OF THE MATRIC/GRADE 12 CERTIFICATE, PROVEN SALES TRACK RECORD, CLEAR CRIMINAL AND CREDIT HISTORY.

The ideal candidate must have their own transport and will be required to visit clients from time to time. The fuel will be reimbursed by the employer.

THIS ROLE WILL COMMENCE AS A THREE-MONTHS FIXED-TERM CONTRACT; IT WILL BECOME PERMANENT ON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE INITIAL 3-MONTHS CONTRACT. YOUR SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED BY YOUR ABILITY TO SELL AND TO ACHIEVE MONTHLY SALES TARGETS.

Duties & Responsibilities

• The Consultant will be based in the showroom and be required to work as part of the showroom team to assist in closing deals with clients coming into the showroom to purchase tiles, taps, sanitaryware, accessories etc. for new projects or renovations

• The company representing a luxury brand with a showroom environment that is high-end and clientele requiring service par excellence and consultants fairly often going the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction and brand integrity.

• Showroom consultants must have a flair for design and be able to work on large domestic projects where plans of buildings will be measured and quantities of products calculated during the quoting and invoicing process.

• There may be telephonic canvassing involved within the showroom sales as well by contacting professionals in the industry to solicit business for the showroom

• As part of the showroom team, maintenance of the showroom with regards to general tidiness, the putting up of new displays and pricing and other POS material will form part of this position

Desired Experience & Qualification

• A history of Excellent customer service is mandatory

• Proven ability to meet set monthly sales targets consistently

• The ability to work in both a team environment and individually

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• SAP and Microsoft Office - desirable

• Sound Arithmetic skills

• A flair for Design and Creativity

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Own Transport with a valid driver’s license - non-negotiable!!!

• The minimum educational requirement is Matric with Mathematics and Accounting on minimum Standard Grade

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines for showroom tasks

Package & Remuneration

R15 - 20K negotiable, depending on relevancy of your experience and ability to sell!

The benefits and profit share will be added once the position becomes permanent
