The Sales Consultant – Balloon Payments is responsible for promoting and selling balloon payment options to customers and dealers within the vehicle finance environment. This role requires strong sales ability, sound product knowledge, and excellent customer engagement skills to guide customers toward suitable finance solutions while meeting sales targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Product Promotion
- Proactively promote balloon payment finance options to dealers, F&I representatives, and customers.
- Explain the features, benefits, and risks of balloon payment structures clearly and accurately.
- Meet and exceed daily/monthly sales targets for balloon payment products.
Customer & Dealer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and F&I representatives to drive uptake.
- Address customer queries regarding balloon payment terms, structures, and repayment implications.
- Provide a professional and consultative sales experience at every touchpoint.
Application Support & Compliance
- Assist in structuring finance applications to include balloon payment options where suitable.
- Ensure all sales activities align with credit policy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Validations, Credit, and Risk teams to ensure smooth application processing.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions.
- Stay up to date with product changes, pricing, and competitor offerings.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities to improve the sales process.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Sales, or Business (Advantageous)
- Experience in vehicle finance sales or a similar target-driven sales role (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of vehicle finance products, including balloon payment structures (Advantageous)
