Construction Hyper is an INGCO power tool and hand tool retailer, with a store in Pietermaritzburg and an online store. In November 2026 we open a new INGCO Concept Store in Hillcrest (Oxford Village, Old Main Road).
We are looking for a Sales Assistant who takes care of every customer who walks in, whether they are a homeowner, a contractor or a tradesman.
Start date: by 23 November 2026 at the latest.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet every customer who walks in and help them choose the right tool
- Give customers correct product information. If you don’t know, you find out. You never guess.
- Offer related products and accessories, without pressure
- Send quotes to customers by email or WhatsApp on the same day, and follow them up
- Explain warranties and aftercare to every customer
- Keep shelves full and stock faced, and report low stock straight away
- Keep learning the INGCO range
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Retail or sales experience
- Confident and friendly with customers, and honest and reliable
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, email and a point-of-sale system
- Lives in or near Hillcrest, with reliable transport
- Knowledge of power tools is an advantage, but we will train the right person
Package & Remuneration
- R8,500 per month take-home
- 3-month probation with monthly reviews
- Full product training on the INGCO range
Hours
Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30
Saturday 08:00–14:00
