Profentum is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience across accounting, taxation and financial reporting while developing your technical skills in a professional environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly accounting records and bookkeeping for clients.

• Processing transactions and performing bank reconciliations.

• Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements.

• Preparation and submission of VAT returns and other relevant tax returns.

• Assisting with individual and company income tax returns.

• Assisting with provisional tax calculations and submissions.

• Monitoring accounting and tax compliance deadlines.

• Communicating with clients to obtain supporting documentation and resolve queries.

• Providing general accounting support and assisting with client-related matters.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• A relevant accounting or finance qualification, or currently studying towards one.

• A sound understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Xero or other accounting software will be advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to delivering quality work

Package & Remuneration

Remuneration will depend on the experience and qualification held by candidate.
