We are looking for a motivated and career-driven SAIPA Trainee Accountant to join a professional accounting environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring accountant to gain practical experience, develop their technical skills, and work towards completing their SAIPA training requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions.
- Process and capture financial transactions accurately.
- Assist with bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and trial balances.
- Prepare and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Assist with VAT and other statutory submissions.
- Provide support with accounting and tax-related queries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Work closely with senior accounting staff and gain exposure to various accounting functions.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant Accounting qualification completed or in progress.
- Candidates interested in completing SAIPA Articles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Previous accounting experience will be advantageous.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Eager to learn and develop within the accounting profession.
