SAIPA Trainee Accountant - Pretoria

Introduction

An established accounting and bookkeeping firm in Montana Park, Pretoria, is looking for a motivated SAIPA Clerk to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting with bookkeeping and accounting functions for various clients

• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records

• Supporting senior team members with client accounting requirements

• Working with accounting software including Pastel and Sage

• Assisting with payroll-related functions where required

• Preparing and maintaining accurate accounting documentation

• Assisting with client-related accounting queries

• Collecting and delivering accounting records and books to and from clients when required

• Providing general administrative and accounting support

• Developing practical accounting skills in line with SAIPA training requirements

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Currently studying towards a BCom Accounting degree part-time, or have completed an Accounting Degree and wish to commence SAIPA Articles

• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Email

• Knowledge of Pastel, Sage and/or Payroll will be advantageous

• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience advantageous

• Eager to learn and develop within the accounting profession

• Reliable, responsible and hardworking

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
