We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAIPA Trainee to join our client's team in Durbanville. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in accounting, a willingness to learn, and a passion for developing their career within a professional accounting environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with bookkeeping and accounting functions.
- Assist with preparation of annual financial statements.
- Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with VAT, PAYE and other SARS-related submissions.
- Assist with monthly accounting and management reports.
- Perform basic tax calculations and tax-related duties.
- Assist with audits and accounting-related assignments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant BCom Accounting / BCompt / Accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
- SAIPA training contract eligibility is essential.
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience will be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Pastel, Sage or similar will be advantageous.
