Are you an aspiring accounting professional looking to kick-start your career and complete your SAIPA training contract? This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to gain practical experience within a professional accounting environment while working towards becoming a qualified Professional Accountant (SA). This opportunity is based in Durbanville, Western Cape.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Perform bookkeeping and monthly accounting functions.
- Assist with tax calculations, tax returns and SARS submissions.
- Support monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Assist with reconciliations and general accounting duties.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Gain exposure to a variety of clients and accounting-related tasks.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting or a relevant accounting qualification.
- Intention to pursue or currently pursuing the SAIPA training route.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
