Introduction

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAICA Clerk to join their professional accounting and audit team in Stellenbosch. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about pursuing a career as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and is eager to gain practical experience in auditing, accounting, taxation, and financial reporting within a SAICA training environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with external audit engagements for a variety of clients
  • Perform audit procedures in accordance with SAICA and auditing standards
  • Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Conduct reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Support tax compliance and SARS-related submissions
  • Liaise professionally with clients and internal team members
  • Ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Completed or currently completing a SAICA-accredited BCom Accounting degree
  • Intention to pursue or complete CTA / Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting
  • Strong academic record and a genuine interest in auditing and accounting
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
