Zuydam Konsult is looking for ambitious SAICA and CIMA Trainee Accountants who want more from their training than simply completing a training contract.

We are a dynamic professional services firm working with a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, growing companies and international clients . Our trainees gain practical exposure to the numbers behind businesses, while developing the commercial judgement and professional skills required to become trusted business advisers.

What you can expect

Depending on your chosen training route, you will gain practical experience across areas including:

• Accounting and financial reporting

• Management accounts and financial analysis

• Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management

• Audit and assurance

• South African taxation

• VAT and payroll

• Corporate and statutory compliance

• Business advisory and problem solving

• Client communication and relationship management

• Accounting systems, automation and cloud-based technology

• Exposure to international businesses and cross-border structures

Our aim is to develop trainees who do not simply know how to prepare the numbers , but understand what the numbers mean and how they influence business decisions .

Duties & Responsibilities

SAICA Training

Our SAICA training programme is suited to graduates who want to qualify as Chartered Accountants and develop strong technical, accounting, audit, tax and advisory capabilities.

Candidates should be studying towards or have completed a recognised SAICA-accredited degree / postgraduate programme and intend pursuing the CA(SA) qualification.

CIMA Training

Our CIMA training opportunities are designed for graduates who are particularly interested in:

• Management accounting

• Commercial finance

• Business performance

• Financial modelling

• Strategy

• Data-driven decision making

• Business partnering and advisory

This route is particularly suitable for candidates who see themselves becoming future financial managers, finance business partners, CFOs, commercial managers or entrepreneurs .

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

SAICA candidates

• BCom Accounting / SAICA-accredited degree completed or in progress

• Intention to follow the SAICA training route

CIMA candidates

• Relevant BCom, Management Accounting, Finance or similar degree completed or in progress

• Intention to pursue the CIMA professional qualification

For both programmes

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Good computer literacy

• A professional attitude and willingness to learn

• South African citizenship / appropriate right to work in South Africa
