Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious SAICA Trainee Accountant to join a professional accounting and auditing firm based in Nelspruit. This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to complete their SAICA articles and develop a successful career within the accounting and auditing profession

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Perform audit testing and gather supporting documentation.
  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Assist with tax calculations and tax return submissions.
  • Prepare working papers and supporting schedules.
  • Conduct financial analysis and reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports.
  • Liaise with clients regarding financial and audit-related information.
  • Ensure compliance with SAICA training requirements and professional standards.
  • Perform general accounting, auditing, and administrative duties as required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • BCom Accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
  • CTA completed or currently studying towards CTA (preferred).
  • Intention to complete SAICA articles.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
