Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will receive b road exposure to audit, accounting, taxation, and advisory services  while developing the  competencies required to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (SA) .

Key Responsibilities

  • Participating in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of annual financial statements
  • Performing substantive testing and analytical review procedures
  • Evaluating internal controls and identifying areas of business risk
  • Assisting with accounting and taxation assignments
  • Preparing audit working papers and maintaining accurate audit documentation
  • Developing an understanding of client businesses, industries, and operating environments
  • Participating in client meetings and communicating professionally with client personnel
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable auditing, accounting, taxation, and regulatory standards
  • Building professional relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Taking ownership of personal development and progression throughout the SAICA training programme

Minimum Requirements

  • BCom Accounting Sciences, or equivalent SAICA Accredited undergraduate degree
  • SAICA-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA), CTA, Honours, or currently completing the qualification
  • Strong academic record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver's licence will be advantageous
