A reputable accounting and auditing firm in Pretoria is looking for a SAICA Trainee to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual looking to gain practical experience, develop their technical skills and work towards completing their SAICA training contract.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Perform accounting and bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients.
- Assist with audit and assurance engagements.
- Prepare working papers and supporting documentation.
- Assist with tax-related calculations and submissions.
- Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Communicate with clients and assist with resolving accounting-related queries.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- BCom Accounting, BCompt or a relevant accounting degree.
- Currently studying towards or eligible to pursue a SAICA training contract.
- Strong academic record.
- Good understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Previous experience within an accounting or audit environment will be advantageous.
