An Auditing firm based in Paarl holds an exciting opportunity for three (3) driven, highly motivated and passionate career entrants who wish to complete their SAICA Training Programme towards becoming a CA(SA) or AGA(SA). We also have a SAIPA Trainee Accountant position available.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Trainee Accountant, your duties will include
- Preparing financial statements;
- Tax-related queries and calculations;
- Performance of external audit and independent review engagements;
- Liaison with clients to answer queries relating to auditing, accounting, tax or secretarial-related matters;
- Completion of training contract requirements
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements
- No work experience required; however, practice experience will be advantageous;
- Matric (with accounting as a subject);
- Accounting diploma and/or BCom Accounting Degree will be advantageous;
- Must be bilingual – Afrikaans and English;
- Valid Driver’s license.
Skills
- Strong computer literacy, especially MS Excel;
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Strong ethical values
- Ability to work productively under pressure;
- Strong work ethic;
- Able to work in a team environment.
