Ready to take the next step towards becoming a CA(SA)? We’re looking for motivated and ambitious SAICA Trainee Accountants to join a professional team, based in Claremont, where they can gain valuable practical experience, develop their technical skills, and grow within a supportive environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Accounting: Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and management accounts.
- Audit & Review: Performing audit procedures and documenting findings in accordance with auditing standards across audit, independent review, and compilation engagements.
- Tax Compliance: Supporting statutory submissions and tax compliance activities, including income tax and VAT.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Technical Application & Judgment: Developing an understanding of accounting, auditing, tax, and business advisory principles while applying professional judgment, ethical conduct, and high attention to detail.
- Workload & Priority Management: Managing multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment.
- Professional Development: Participating in structured training, coaching, and mentorship programs to meet SAICA training competencies and progress toward qualifying as a Chartered Accountant-CA(SA).
- Team Contribution: Collaborating effectively within the team while gradually taking on team leadership responsibilities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Completed or currently studying a SAICA-accredited degree in Accounting, Accounting Sciences, of Chartered Accountancy.
- Eligible to register for or currently registered for a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA), Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, or an equivalent SAICA-accredited postgraduate qualification (advantageous).
