An established Auditing/ Accounting firm is looking for a motivated first-year SAICA trainee to join its audit team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven graduate who is looking to build strong technical foundations, gain meaningful client exposure and progress towards becoming a CA(SA) .
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with and take responsibility for allocated areas of audit engagements
- Perform audit procedures in accordance with relevant professional standards and methodologies
- Obtain, assess and document audit evidence
- Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
- Prepare accurate and well-organised working papers
- Manage allocated tasks and deadlines effectively
- Maintain a high standard of quality across all work performed
- Develop your technical knowledge and gradually take on more complex audit areas as your experience grows
Desired Experience & Qualification
- B.Com Accounting or equivalent completed or currently in progress at a SAICA-accredited institution
- A clear commitment to pursuing the CA(SA) qualification
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, reliable and well-organised approach
- A collaborative mindset, with the initiative to take ownership of your work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- A valid driver's licence and own transport would be advantageous
