We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented SAICA & SAIPA Trainees wanting to join a team and gain valuable practical experience in a professional accounting environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are looking to complete their SAICA/SAIPA training while developing their technical accounting skills and gaining exposure to a diverse range of clients and financial functions.
As a SAICA/SAIPA Trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals and receive practical exposure to accounting, financial reporting, taxation, compliance and general business advisory activities. The role offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while working towards your professional designation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting functions.
- Prepare reconciliations, management accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with VAT, PAYE and other tax-related submissions.
- Assist with annual financial statements and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Respond to client queries and provide professional support.
- Meet deadlines and maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant Accounting/Financial qualification or degree.
- Eligible for or currently completing a SAIPA training contract.
- Sound understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Good numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting software will be advantageous.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
