We are seeking motivated and ambitious SAICA and SAIPA Trainees looking for opportunities in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable practical experience, develop their accounting skills and work towards completing their professional training. Ideal candidates will be eager to learn, detail-oriented and committed to building a successful career in accounting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records.
- Process accounting entries, journals and bank transactions.
- Perform reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Support VAT, PAYE and other SARS-related compliance requirements.
- Assist with general bookkeeping and accounting functions.
- Maintain accurate client records and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with clients to obtain relevant financial information when required.
- Work closely with senior accountants and managers across various client portfolios.
- Gain practical exposure to accounting, financial reporting and compliance processes.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant completed or in-progress degree in Accounting or a similar field.
- Intention to pursue or continue a SAICA or SAIPA training contract.
- Strong accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Previous accounting or auditing experience will be advantageous.
