An established accounting and auditing firm in Bloemfontein is looking for a motivated SAICA Clerk to join their professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or aspiring Chartered Accountant to complete their SAICA articles while gaining valuable practical experience in a supportive and growth-focused environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform audit fieldwork at client sites.
  • Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Complete accounting and bookkeeping assignments.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and statutory returns.
  • Maintain accurate client records and audit files.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with SAICA standards and firm procedures.
  • Assist senior staff with various accounting and auditing assignments.
  • Perform general administrative duties related to audit and accounting engagements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed or busy with BCom Accounting degree or equivalent SAICA-accredited qualification.
  • Candidates with a completed degree will receive preference.
  • Eligible to register for SAICA articles.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans (advantageous).
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport will be advantageous.
