Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within South Africa and Africa.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
  • Develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Conduct client meetings and needs analyses to identify HSE, compliance and assurance requirements.

Promote and sell the NAIS portfolio of services, including

  • NOSA Five Star Audits
  • Health & Safety Audits
  • Legal Evaluation of Compliance Audits
  • Occupational Hygiene Surveys
  • HSE Consulting
  • Risk Assessments
  • Fire Risk Assessments
  • Ergonomics Assessments
  • HSE project and resource solutions
  • Prepare and follow up quotations and proposals.
  • Coordinate technical input for complex client requirements.
  • Identify and respond to RFQs and tender opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close opportunities.
  • Grow existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling and recurring services.
  • Proactively manage client renewals and audit cycles.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines and forecasts.
  • Achieve agreed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure effective handover of awarded work.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across the broader SafetySA Group.
  • Represent NOSA professionally at client meetings, presentations, networking events and industry engagements.

Requirements

Qualification

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, SHEQ, Business Management, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
  • SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, ISO 45001 training or equivalent HSE qualification will be highly advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, or Key Account Management.
  • Previous experience within the Occupational Health & Safety, SHEQ or HSE industry.
  • Experience selling HSE, auditing, inspection, compliance, occupational hygiene, consulting or related professional services.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience managing corporate and key accounts.
  • Experience preparing quotations, proposals, RFQs and tender submissions.
  • Experience engaging with HSE Managers, SHEQ Managers, Procurement Teams, Operations Management, Facilities Management and Senior Executives.
  • Experience maintaining CRM systems, sales pipelines and forecasting activities.

  • ISO 45001 principles and occupational health and safety management systems.
  • Risk assessment methodologies and workplace hazard management.
  • NOSA Five Star Audit methodology and related HSE assurance services.
  • Legal Evaluation of Compliance Audits and compliance frameworks.
  • Occupational Hygiene, Ergonomics and Fire Risk Assessment services.
  • Tender, RFQ and proposal management processes.
  • Sales pipeline management and forecasting principles.
  • Cross-selling, upselling and account growth strategies.
  • Corporate procurement and decision-making processes.
  • Client relationship management best practices.
  • Commercial contracting and negotiation principles.
  • Professional services sales methodologies.
