- Identify and pursue business opportunities aligned with NQA Africa's growth strategy.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and business development KPIs.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and technical teams to develop integrated solutions.
- Apply SafetySA's values in all business dealings and client engagements.
- Ensure compliance with internal frameworks, legal requirements, and customer contract terms.
Duties of the Job
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement growth strategies focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Sales Management: Oversee the sales process, including preparing sales contracts, ensuring adherence to legal guidelines, and providing after-sales support.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
Reporting Processes
- Weekly reporting to Head of Sales on pipeline activity, deals closed, and client feedback.
- Monthly KPI performance reporting via CRM/Sales Dashboard.
- Contribute to quarterly sales forecasts, market trend analysis, and strategic business development plans.
- Customer engagement reporting in accordance with CRM protocols.
- Version control and document storage in line with company SOPs.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all SafetySA safety protocols, risk controls, and ethical standards.
- Report any client concerns or risks that may impact compliance or service delivery.
- Complete all mandatory HSE and compliance training.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Risk Management, Compliance or Economics required
- Postgraduate Degree or Diploma Honours and Masters included in the above mentioned disciplines advantageous
- SAMTRAC or NEBOSH General certificate advantageous
- National Certificate in OHS and ISO 45001 of international safety management systems advantageous
Experience
3-5 years of relevant experience in
- Proven Sales Track Record in identifying and persuing business opportunities aligned with a corporate growth strategy
- Strategic Growth with a history of developing and implementing growth strategies focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Relationship Management with extensive experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with key stakeholders and customers CRM
- Sector Expertise with experience in supporting customer acquisition and retention across high-impact sectors
- Sales Leadership with experience overseeing the full sales process, including contract preparation and after-sales support
Skills
- Negotiation: Ability to negotiate contract terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Strategic Planning: Competency in market research and identifying new market opportunities.
- Analytical Ability: Skill in tracking and analyzing sales performance and market trends to provide reports to senior management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with marketing, operations, and technical teams to develop integrated solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales dashboards for KPI reporting and customer engagement tracking
Knowled ge
- Market Intelligence: Understanding of market research techniques to identify customer needs and new markets
- Compliance & Legal: Knowledge of legal guidelines regarding sales contracts and internal compliance frameworks.
- Safety Protocols: Understanding of HSE Health, Safety, and Environment protocols and risk controls.
- Business Operations: Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures SOPs and version control for document storage.

- Commitment to weekly and monthly reporting cycles regarding pipeline activity and deal closures
- Adherence to high ethical standards and the reporting of risks that may impact service delivery
- Willingness to carry out other reasonable duties or projects as directed by management
- Own vehicle and drivers license, willing to travel around SafetySA offices within the province, unless required otherwise
