The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
• Assist in developing and implementing Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs. • Provide guidance on safety-related topics (e.g., noise levels, machinery usage). • Conduct training sessions to educate employees on safety practices. • Compile Safety File. • Identify potential hazards and assess risks. • Attend and assist with Toolbox talks. • Enforce preventative measures to mitigate risks. • Attend monthly meetings. • Able to travel between different sites • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents. • Prepare reports on occurrences and recommend improvements. • Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. • Promote a culture of health and safety among employees.
Minimum requirements
1. 3-years working as a Safety Officer
2. NQF Level 4 or higher in OHS
3. Drivers License
4. Must be South African
5. Team player
6. Self sufficient and self-driven
7. Willingness to work overtime
8. Willingness to travel to various sites
