Our client, a leading organisation in the service industry, is seeking an experienced Route Optimization Analyst & Planner to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organising, sequencing and allocating service work to operational resources , ensuring that daily plans are efficient, practical and executable. The role combines strong operational planning with data analysis, using route, service, customer and resource data to identify opportunities and develop actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, cost control, capacity utilisation and overall service delivery.

- Analytics, Reporting, AI Readiness & Continuous Improvement
Key Outputs
- Daily/weekly service plans
- Optimised routes and schedules
- Balanced workload distribution across resources
- Adjust plans based on operational changes
- Identified gaps, root causes, and improvement recommendations
Skills & Competencies
Technical
- Strong planning and scheduling skills
- Experience working with routing/planning systems (e.g., TRAMM, routing tools)
- Understanding of constraints-based planning
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends, gaps, and inefficiencies
- Proficiency in Excel or data tools (advantageous)
Operational
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis ability
- Ability to identify issues early and take corrective action
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Good understanding of logistics/service operations
Behavioural
- Well-organised and structured
- Able to manage high volumes of work and competing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A people-oriented approach, with the ability to handle conflict, manage difficult conversations, and work effectively across teams
- Adaptable to changing priorities and operational demands

Desired Experience & Qualification
Experience & Qualifications
- 1–4 years in analytics, planning, scheduling, logistics, or operations
- Experience in route planning or field service environment preferred
- Relevant diploma/degree (logistics, supply chain, operations, data analytics – advantageous)
Nice-to-have (based on your environment)
- Experience with planning systems
- Understanding of route optimisation concepts
- Exposure to constraint-based planning models
