Our client is a growing outdoor adventure and hospitality business based in the Somerset West / Helderberg area. They are seeking Rope Access Technicians at Level 1 and Level 2 to join their team and assist with rope access operations in an outdoor adventure environment. Duties & Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform rope access duties safely and professionally in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Assist with the setup, inspection, operation, and dismantling of rope access systems and equipment.
- Conduct pre-use checks of ropes, harnesses, anchors, and other relevant equipment.
- Follow all rope access, operational, and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with maintaining and securing rope access equipment and ensuring it remains in good working condition.
- Work effectively as part of a team during daily operations.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards, equipment concerns, or operational issues.
- Assist with ensuring a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
- Support general operational activities as required.
- Provide professional and friendly assistance to guests/clients where required.
- Remain calm, alert, and safety-focused when working at height or in challenging outdoor conditions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Rope Access Level 1 or Level 2 ticket/certification, essential.
- Previous rope access experience will be advantageous.
- Must be willing and able to live in or around Somerset West / the Helderberg area.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and operational protocols.
- Energetic, proactive, and hands-on approach to work.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at height.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Ability to work in varying weather and outdoor conditions.
- Professional attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays where required.
