THE MISSION
- You're the person who keeps Mama running smoothly behind the scenes — making sure every room, fixture, and technical detail works exactly as it should.
- As our Rooms Technician, you're hands-on, solution-focused, and always ready to jump in. From a flickering light to a stubborn AC unit, you make sure our guests experience nothing but comfort, even when they never see the work behind it.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Technical Troubleshooter
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance across guest rooms and related areas
- Respond quickly to technical faults and guest room maintenance requests
- Diagnose and resolve issues across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general building systems
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Guest Comfort Guardian
- Ensure guest rooms are fully operational, comfortable and presented to brand standards
- Attend to maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Minimise room downtime and support a seamless guest experience
- Work discreetly and respectfully when entering occupied rooms
Preventive Maintenance Pro
- Complete scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance programmes
- Identify potential issues before they become guest-impacting problems
- Maintain accurate records of completed works, faults and follow-up actions
- Escalate major technical concerns to the Engineering team
Team Player
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office and Engineering to resolve room-related issues
- Communicate clearly on outstanding repairs and room status
- Support the wider Engineering team with day-to-day operational requirements
- Be a reliable and approachable point of contact for colleagues across the hotel
Safety & Standards Champion
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures
- Ensure maintenance work is carried out in line with hotel standards and local regulations
- Use tools, equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
Qualifications
MADE FOR YOU… ONLY IF
- You have previous Engineering / Maintenance experience in a hotel or hospitality environment
- You have hands-on experience maintaining guest rooms and hotel facilities
- You have good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general maintenance
- You are practical, hands-on and confident troubleshooting technical issues
- You have a strong eye for detail and take pride in getting things right
- You understand that speed matters when a guest's comfort is involved
- You are organised, reliable and able to prioritise multiple maintenance requests
- You communicate clearly and work well with different departments
- You take health, safety and compliance seriously
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy hotel environment
YOUR LITTLE EXTRAS
- Pre-opening hotel experience? Big plus
- Experience with lifestyle, design-led or luxury hospitality brands
- Knowledge of hotel engineering systems and maintenance software
- Multi-skilled across several technical disciplines
- You're naturally curious and enjoy figuring out how things work
- You bring a hands-on, can-do Mama attitude — calm under pressure, quick to respond and always ready to get stuck in
