- A leading organisation within the automotive manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Robot Specialist to join their technical team.
- This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician with strong experience in industrial robotics, electrical maintenance and fault finding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair, maintain and optimise industrial robots to meet quality and production standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance and fault finding in line with maintenance schedules, job cards and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot robotic applications, electrical systems and presses.
- Complete accurate maintenance and repair feedback and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, quality systems and work instructions.
- Work in accordance with all SHEQ requirements and actively participate in departmental initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- NQF Level 6 qualification.
- Qualified Electrician, Millwright, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation professional.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Robot Technician within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with ABB and KUKA industrial robots.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic drawings.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and industrial presses.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of quality systems and technical maintenance practices.
