We are seeking a skilled Roads Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, and delivery of road infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
- Design and develop road and highway infrastructure projects
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Conduct geometric road design and stormwater drainage design
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
- Ensure designs comply with applicable regulations and industry standards
- Assist with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
- Provide technical support during construction and project implementation
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in roads and highway design projects
- Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related design software
- Minimum 8 + years of experience
- Strong knowledge of geometric road design principles
- Experience with stormwater drainage and road rehabilitation projects
- Ability to prepare technical reports and engineering documentation
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills
- Knowledge of municipal design standards is advantageous
Qualification: BEng / BSc / BTech in Civil Engineering PR Registered with ECSA
