RF Installer

Introduction

Inteto Connect (Cape Town) has an exciting opportunity for an RF Installer to manage a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients, and actively seek new sales opportunities ensuring a conversion rate is applied and revenue generated to reach sales targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

Vehicle Preparation

• Equipment Loading: Assist with loading the installation vehicle with equipment supplied by Stores, Network, or listed on the invoice.

• Tool Inspection: Check daily that all tools are available and in good working condition.

• Vehicle Documentation: Ensure the required vehicle inspection documents are available and up to date.

Installations

• Appointment Coordination: Confirm appointment dates and times with the lead installer, especially where early or late arrival may be required.

• Site Risk Assessment: On arrival, assist the lead installer with the required site risk assessment.

• Installation Positioning: Help identify the best installation position based on RF signal quality and site requirements.

• Client Guidance: Support the lead installer in explaining to the client that the RF signal determines the installation point.

• Health and Safety: Wear all required PPE and ensure the OHS safety file is kept in the vehicle at all times.

• Installation Support: Assist the lead installer in completing the installation according to the Installation Manual.

• Site Housekeeping: Leave the site clean, neat, and tidy after completing the work.

• Brand Representation: Maintain consistent, professional conduct that reflects the brand and builds stakeholder trust.

Competencies

• Cable Preparation and Testing: Able to crimp, manufacture, and test cables for continuity on site and in the workshop, in line with company policy.

• Fault Finding: Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related faults when required.

• Wi-Fi Installation: Install and configure Wi-Fi PtP and PtMP systems.

• Training and Compliance: Complete required training, including working at heights, and applying safe working practices on site.

Qualifications & Experience

• The ideal candidate should have two - four years’ experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

• Good understanding of the telecommunications industry, including LTE and cellular network technologies.

• Experience with Wi-Fi PtP/PtMP configuration and installation.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• The ideal candidate would have to Perform installation work on site for various systems as required.

• There will be overnight travel, including shared accommodation.
