Role Outline

  • The RF Clerk is responsible for performing accurate warehouse transactions through the Radio Frequency RF system, ensuring inventory integrity and operational efficiency. The role supports receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, cycle counting, stock investigations, and dispatch processes within the warehouse. The incumbent will maintain system accuracy, assist with inventory control activities, and support operational teams in meeting customer service and productivity targets.

Key Tasks/ Accountabilities

  • To contribute to a productive working environment
  • Inspection of all RF equipment
  • Report and record any non conformity with regards to the customers merchandise or unsafe acts
  • Handle equipment with care to minimise damages
  • Accurately recording of issuing and returning of all equipment
  • Perform battery changes of RF equipment and Radios
  • Ensure no time is lost wrt the maintanence of equipment
  • Reporting of all damaged or non operational equipment to Management
  • Issuing of harnessess / safety cages - weekly isnspections of the harnesses / safety cages
  • Ensure correct asset and serial numbers are labelled on scanners
  • Receive consumable job cards from each department and review for Management approval
  • Issue consumables in alignment to the job card and capture on control sheet
  • Weekly consumable and PPE count and reconcile with Finance
  • Notify Finance of re-order levels
  • Receive stock deliveries - sign delivery note, put stock away, submit note to Finance
  • Control stock issues from Cage 104 - allocated to Consumables
  • Ensure all shrink wrap cores have been returned to the RDT Room
  • Prepare cores dispatch to Smartmatta - communicate to Finance for waste rebate
  • Office asset listing - update and verify
  • Office equipment - issue to staff with employee card verification
  • Receive daily clock cards sheets from ISMS, Nakisani, Smart matta and Quatro
  • Capture clockings on supplier attendance register and submit to Finance daily
  • Weekly Gemba walks with Finance on Consumables
  • To work within any operating area as determined by Management and the needs of the Business
  • Ensure that damages are kept to a minimum
  • Be actively involved in and support change initiatives

  • Perform tasks according to the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Correct use of equipment and to timeously report any defects / faults
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management

  • Maintain a high level of hygiene in the work area
  • Complete tasks timeously
  • Adhere to the Unit's SHE rules and best practices
  • Ensure that product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised
  • To report and record workplace hazards
  • Report any persons behaviour that may impact on the safety, quality and integrity of the stored product
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.

Functional Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience within a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control environment.
  • Experience using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Stock control and inventory management experience will be advantageous.

Education / Qualification / Certification Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
  • Computer literacy MS Office
