Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Retail Platforms Tribe Lead, reporting into the HOA, owns the platform and applications that support in-store operations and point-of-sale activities across Dis-Chem’s store network. The role leads cross-functional squads responsible for sourcing, configuring, and maintaining retail and POS solutions, ensuring they align with store processes, integration standards, and reliability requirements. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or related, alternatively 5 years management experience in similar role. • 7+ years’ experience in store systems, retail IT, or POS platform • Experience working with multi-site retail organisations and POS vendors Responsibilities Platform ownership and roadmap

• Own the retail platforms roadmap covering POS, store operations systems, and related services. • Prioritise enhancements with Retail Operations, ensuring alignment to store processes and strategic initiatives. • Drive standardisation of store solutions across regions while accommodating necessary localisation. Delivery and operations

• Lead squads in implementing configuration, integrations, and small development changes on retail platforms. • Ensure robust in-store performance, including offline and “always-on” capabilities where needed. • Coordinate with Physical IT operations for store roll-outs, upgrades, and incident Governance and collaboration

• Ensure retail platforms follow enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and security guidelines. • Manage relevant vendors and partners for retail systems and • Provide input into infrastructure and network requirements for new and existing Competencies

• Deep understanding of retail store operations and POS • Strong platform ownership and stakeholder-management skills with store and regional operations. • Ability to coordinate configuration, integration, and rollout work across multiple • Lead, coach, and develop leaders and teams across the tribe • Set performance expectations and manage feedback and reviews • Manage capacity, prioritisation, and capability development • Support recruitment, succession planning, and team design Key Performance Indicators

• Stability and performance of POS and in-store • On-time delivery of store system changes and new store • Reduction in store incidents linked to retail • Feedback from Retail Operations on platform usability and • Contribution to culture and leadership outcomes through employee engagement, values alignment, and leadership behaviours Special Conditions of Employment:
