Retail Store Manager

Our client is looking for a  Store Manager to oversees daily operations, drive sales performance, manage stock, and lead staff to deliver excellent customer service. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Drive store turnover and ensure sales targets are consistently achieved.

• Monitor sales performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to increase revenue.

• Take ownership of store performance, budgets and key sales metrics.

• Manage operating costs and contribute to the overall profitability of the store.

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and operational efficiency.

• Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.

• Remain hands-on and actively involved in the day-to-day running of the store.

• Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure product availability.

• Oversee stock receiving, stock replenishment and merchandising on the sales floor.

• Implement effective stock control procedures and minimise stock losses.

• Ensure stock is handled accurately and efficiently.

• Recruit, train, mentor and supervise store employees.

• Motivate the team to achieve sales targets and maintain high service standards.

• Foster a positive, productive and accountable working environment.

• Manage staff performance, attendance and daily responsibilities.

• Ensure the store consistently meets visual merchandising and presentation standards.

• Maintain an attractive, organised and well-presented sales floor.

• Ensure products are displayed appropriately and reflect the brand's image.

• Deliver an excellent customer experience by meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

• Handle customer queries, complaints and concerns professionally.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.

• At least 1 year of Store Manager experience, with 2 years of retail management experience preferred.

• Previous experience in a clothing or related retail environment will be advantageous.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A good understanding of sales targets, budgets, financial performance and cost management.

• Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• A hands-on, adaptable approach to store management.

• Willingness to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and evenings where required.
