- Embark on a leadership journey that offers both growth and significant responsibility. Our client, a prominent retail organization committed to excellent customer service and operational excellence, is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to steer their store towards continued success.
Where You'll Make an Impact
- Lead, roster, and manage the sales team, ensuring operational efficiency and excellent customer experiences.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, monitoring performance and addressing gaps to foster a high-performing team.
- Enforce store procedures and standards in line with the company retail manual.
- Oversee daily cash-ups, banking, and reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Manage stock control end-to-end: goods receiving, supplier returns, stock counts, stock takes, and manual invoicing during system downtimes.
- Process product warranty and repair claims.
- Approve discounts within company policy, escalating larger requests as necessary.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and security standards.
- Maintain merchandising and in-store display standards according to brand guidelines.
- Drive sales targets and KPI performance.
- Prepare and submit cash-up, stock, and sales reports to head office.
- Build and maintain strong product knowledge across the team.
Duties

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs, stock management, and merchandising.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays.
- Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.

- Cash handling and bank reconciliations.
- Stock control systems.
- Retail policies and procedures.
