In store, you will be the friendly face for expecting and new parents. You will listen to their needs, demonstrate products with confidence and build relationships that last. The role suits a high-energy people person who enjoys guiding customers through an important purchase.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist walk-in customers, giving warm, exceptional service

• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers

• Understand each customer's needs and recommend tailored product solutions

• Demonstrate products and explain their features and benefits with confidence

• Support in-store merchandising and keep the store clean and well presented

• Record sales activity and customer interactions accurately in the CRM

• Provide after-sales support and make sure customers stay satisfied

• Work with the marketing team on promotions, campaigns and events

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year's experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail, sales, hospitality or reception

• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a patient, caring approach to customers

• Self-motivated, high-energy and detail-oriented, with good time management

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team

• Tech-savvy and able to learn systems such as a CRM platform

• Reliable transport to get to the store for all shifts, including weekends and public holidays

• Available to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays

• Available to start immediately or at very short notice

Advantageous

• Retail experience, ideally with baby, maternity or other premium lifestyle products

• Experience with in-store merchandising, promotions or campaigns

Location & Employment Type

Willowbridge Shopping Centre, Cape Town. This is an on-site, full-time position based at one store, on a 3-month fixed-term contract (probation) with potential to become permanent. You will work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, on a roster that includes weekends and public holidays. November and December are busy festive months.

Package & Remuneration

A competitive, market-related salary will be offered in line with experience and the level of responsibility, plus a performance-based 13th cheque.
