Retail Sales Assistant

Established in 1987, The Cock ‘n Bull is one of the leading tobacco retail stores in Cape Town that sells a wide range of tobacco related products and accessories.

Our team of experts are looking for passionate, energetic, and confident sales assistants to drive positive energy and excitement around our brand and products. Our stores are situated both in the Southern and Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Our Sales Assistants are Ambassadors for our brand and offer an amazing Customer experience. They exceed customer expectations by identifying and providing customers with the best possible solutions and world class service.

We have positions avalable in both the Southern and Northern Suburbs

Due to our operational requirements, you are required to select a minimum of three (3) stores  from the list below:

Waterfront|Cavendish Square | Blue Route Mall | Constantia Village | Constantia Emporium | 3 Arts Village | Kenilworth Centre | Howard Centre | Majik Forest | Bayside Mall | Cape Gate | N1 City Mall | Canal Walk

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through world class sales service.

• Be visible, friendly, and knowledgeable.

• Drive and deliver sales targets and earn sales incentives.

• Maintain outstanding store conditions, uphold visual merchandising standards to optimise sales.

• Ascertain custom.ers’ needs and wants and recommend items for sale.

• Proactively meet, greet, and assist customers.

• Assist and resolve customer queries.

• Work on point-of-sale and ensure accurate processing of payments.

• Ensure stock is always packed neat and products merchandised.

• Remain updated on product information, answer questions and address concerns.

• Accurately describe product features and benefits.

• Inform customer about product promotions and our private label brand.

• Create an inspiring and positive work environment.

• Well groomed – Neat and take personal pride in appearance

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 1-year Sales or Customer service experience essential at least 6 months with one company

• Shop Floor and/or experience in retail (advantages)

• Valid Matric (non-negotiable)

• Clear Credit and Criminal record

• Knowledge of various POS and stock management systems (advantages)

Package & Remuneration

What we Offer

• We pay competitive, market-related salaries based on the number of hours Worked: Probation period R 41.07 – Permanent R 45.58 per hour

• Sales incentives on sales targets achieved (upon successful completion of probationary period)

• 100% contribution toward an employee’s medical insurance (upon successful completion of probationary period)

• 21 days Annual Leave
