Torga Optical, an international eyewear brand and one of South Africa’s most trusted optical chains, is seeking a sharp and analytical Retail Operations Analyst.
With our vertically integrated model , we design, manufacture, and supply our own eyewear and lenses using advanced German-precision technology . Guided by The Torga Way — innovation, customer focus, and operational excellence — this role is crucial in driving informed business decisions through data and insights.
Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and customer behavior to identify trends and opportunities.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track operational performance.
Monitor store performance against KPIs and benchmarks.
Conduct in-depth analysis of staffing, inventory turnover, and markdown optimization.
Collaborate with all Operational and store teams to solve operational challenges.
Support sales forecasting and budget planning using historical data and market insights.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail analytics or operations analysis.
Proficiency in Excel (advanced), SQL, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Strong understanding of retail KPIs and operational metrics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented, independent, and able to manage multiple projects.
Cape Town–based candidates preferred
