Job Title: Retail Merchandiser Overberg Cape Town (Power Tools) Start Date: 2026-08-04 - 2026-09-03 Vacancy Type: Permanent MR000524 Sectors: Retail Location: Western Cape , Overberg Salary: (Market related, Negotiable) Brief: Overberg Area (Cape Town) Must live in Overberg or one of the surrounding towns. Proficient driving experience with a valid driver's license. Our client is looking for a young, dynamic MERCHANDISER / BRAND REPRESENTATIVE to join their SALES TEAM to provide top service to all their customers, build strong customer relationships and ensure that their stock is merchandised professionally per the company's standards. They are looking for a punctual and presentable individual who has great interpersonal and communication skills. Someone who is well-organised, proactive, and able to work independently without supervision. Must have excellent product and market knowledge and be able to travel. A team player who has a friendly demeanor and excellent work ethic. Must be willing to work overtime when needed and attend special events (i.e., trade shows, expos, etc.). Detail: A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MERCHANDISER… Ensure the correct stand signage is used per stand - this refers to all headers, stickers, out-of-stock cards, etc. and that the correct stands and other display materials are used per brand. Keep a record and notify the Sales Representative of any stock shortages and queries. Ensure that all stock and display stands are clean and that “out of stock” cards are displayed. Complete and submit weekly call reports. Perform stock counts when required. Repair broken packaging and ensure the necessary tools are available to perform these tasks. Assist the Sales Representative/s as and when needed upon the manager's request and approval. Ensure all stock is packed on the shelves and not kept in the storerooms unless space is limited. Collect and deliver stock as and when required. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Experience working in a sales environment. Power tool & accessory product knowledge is an advantage. Customer-focused. Ability to handle unexpected changes in your daily routine and adapt, plan, and re-arrange the rest of your duties to maximize your day accordingly. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. Team player. Good time-management skills. Great interpersonal and excellent communication skills. Ability to handle pressure and multiple instructions. QUALIFICATION & KNOWLEDGE A Matric Certificate (Grade 12). Knowledge of K8 will be advantageous. Computer skills. Microsoft Office knowledge.
