A well established fabric and linen store is seeking an assistant manager for Protea Glen and Southgate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily management of store operations.
- Supervise and motivate the sales team.
- Ensure high standards of customer service.
- Assist with stock control, receiving, and stock takes.
- Maintain merchandising and housekeeping standards.
- Assist with cash-ups and administrative duties.
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets.
- Step in to manage the store in the Manager's absence.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within retail.
- Experience in a linen, fabric, homeware, textile, or similar retail environment will be advantageous.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Reliable, honest, and customer-focused.
- Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
