Retail Artisan (Fine Jewellery/resin)

Introduction

We are a small, family-owned business based in Johannesburg, specialising in the production of unique handmade artefacts. We are looking for creative, hands-on Artisans to join our team and assist with the production of our products.

The ideal candidates will be comfortable working with small, detailed components and have a practical, creative approach to their work. Experience in jewellery making, arts and crafts, resin casting, electronics, soldering or sewing would be advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the production and assembly of handmade artefacts.

• Work with resin and catalyst in the casting and moulding process.

• Prepare, measure, mix and pour resin materials accurately.

• Assist with finishing, cleaning, sanding and quality checking completed products.

• Perform detailed soldering and basic electronic assembly where required.

• Work with small components and intricate materials with a high level of precision.

• Assist with sewing and other craft-related production tasks where required.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.

• Follow production processes and quality standards.

• Assist with general workshop and production duties.

• Work as part of a small team and contribute to improving production processes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Previous experience in jewellery, arts and crafts, resin work, electronics, soldering or similar hands-on work .

• Experience working with resin and catalyst would be advantageous but is not essential .

• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

• Comfortable working with small and delicate components.

• Creative and practical with a willingness to learn new techniques.

• Reliable, hands-on and able to work independently.

• Good quality awareness and pride in workmanship.

• Previous workshop, artisan or manufacturing experience would be advantageous
