An established FMCG retail and manufacturing group requires an experienced Retail Accountant to manage financial systems, revenue and operational controls across multiple stores.An established FMCG retail and manufacturing group requires an experienced Retail Accountant to manage financial systems, revenue and operational controls across multiple stores.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Manage POS and retail-system integrity across all stores
- Oversee daily revenue, cash-ups, clearing accounts and variance investigations
- Ensure correct VAT mapping and tender configurations
- Prepare weekly GP reports and monthly budget forecasts
- Lead the Admin Manager and Cash Office team
- Support system setup and training for new store openings
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements
- BCom Accounting or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
- 5+ years’ finance experience
- At least 2 years’ multi-store retail experience
- Team leadership experience
- Sigma experience strongly preferred; IQ Retail, GAAP or Arch considered
- Strong cash-up, revenue reconciliation, VAT and GP reporting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Valid driver’s licence
Clear credit and criminal record
