Salary: R22,000 neg

We are looking for a professional and experienced, Restaurant Manager/Maître d to join our top rate team. If you are energetic, and customer-focused, we would love you to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant, while delivering exceptional guest Service. You will lead the front-of-house team, maintain the highest of service standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest who comes through our doors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily restaurant operations
• Welcoming Guests: Welcome and professionally engage with guests
• Greeting patrons as they arrive and making them feel valued.
• Managing Seating: Assigning tables and guiding guests to their seats.
• Supervising Staff: Overseeing waiters, busser teams, and service flow.
• Handling Bookings: Taking and organizing reservations.
• Controlling Ambiance: Managing room temperature, lighting, and music to set the mood
• Lead, motivate, and supervise front-of-house staff
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and special requests.
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Monitor stock, wastage, and operational requirements.
• Work closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Maître d for 4+ years

• Excellent customer-service and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Professional appearance and a positive, hands-on approach.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Hospitality qualification or relevant experience will be advantageous.
