The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining safe, effective, and quality-driven pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee pharmaceutical services and daily pharmacy operations.
- Ensure compliance with the Medicines and Related Substances Act and applicable regulations.
- Maintain appropriate standards for the storage, handling, and dispensing of medicines.
- Monitor stock control and pharmaceutical inventory.
- Support medication safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide professional guidance to pharmacy and healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Registered as a Responsible Pharmacist.
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- Minimum 1 year experience as a responsible pharmacist
- Previous experience within a hospital or healthcare environment advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
