AskMike is a UK-based technology company building software for the automotive industry.

We help independent garages and car washes grow their businesses, manage their customers and make better use of technology.

We’re an early-stage company and are now growing our sales team.

The Role

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Sales Representative based in South Africa to join us remotely.

You’ll be speaking with UK businesses, introducing them to AskMike and turning interested prospects into customers.

This is an outbound sales role, so you’ll need to be comfortable picking up the phone, speaking to business owners and hearing “no” without letting it affect your next call.

Your day-to-day work will include

• Making outbound calls to UK businesses
• Introducing AskMike and explaining how we can help
• Identifying potential customers
• Following up with interested prospects
• Closing sales
• Keeping accurate notes in our sales CRM
• Working with the team to improve our sales approach

Pay

Starting salary: R5,000 per month

Plus uncapped commission on the customers you bring to AskMike.

There is no commission ceiling. The better you perform, the more you can earn.

We’re building the sales team from an early stage, so there will also be opportunities for strong performers to take on more responsibility as the company grows.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of sales experience.

We’re more interested in someone who is

• Confident speaking on the phone
• Fluent and clear in English
• Comfortable with cold calling
• Competitive and target-driven
• Reliable when working remotely
• Comfortable using online systems and a CRM
• Able to learn quickly and take feedback
• Persistent without being pushy

Previous telesales, call centre, B2B sales or appointment-setting experience is an advantage, but isn’t essential.

• Availability during agreed UK working hours

Progression

AskMike is still at an early stage, which means this isn’t a role where you’ll be joining a huge established sales department.

You’ll be working with us as we build it.

People who consistently perform will have opportunities to progress into senior sales and team management positions as we grow.
