Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: National Diploma in Engineering (NQF 6) with a Trade Test / S4/ T3 Bachelors Degree in Engineering will be advantageous Certifications: Working towards obtaining Government Certificate of Competency (Mines and Works) Reliability Centred Maintenance Management Certificate (Advantageous) CMMS Certification in Life Cycle Cost (LCC) (Advantageous)

Job specific experience: 5 -8 years combined experience as a maintenance planner / maintenance supervisor. Acting experience on a Maintenance Superintendent and / or General Engineering Supervisor (GES) level Valid Drivers National Road Act (NRA) license (Code E / EB etc) Experience/Exposure on MS Dynamics F&O, Reporting tools: MS Power BI

Purpose of Role To oversee and manage the asset reliability risks as well as the operation and maintenance of equipment and systems to mitigate operational risks, develop and optimise maintenance strategies and improve asset reliability through the design, execution and management of Loss Elimination, Risk Management and Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) systems, plans and processes. To oversee and manage all operational aspects and the optimal functioning and maintenance of machinery, systems and equipment for the business to achieve production targets and enable effective asset management.

Operational Management Provide input to strategic plans of the department by compiling comprehensive operational plans, converting the department into an enabler of the overall business strategy of the organisation. Keep abreast of changes in relevant guidelines and other legislation, to make recommendations where policies, processes and/or procedures require amendment. Develop, enhance and implement policies, processes and Operational procedures that are within the respective Department aimed at the enhancement of service delivery and overall productivity within the Department. Develop and drive the implementation of reliability programs and operational plans through understanding of the maintenance requirements to ensure reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations. Lead the implementation of set plans to continuously conduct regular inspections of mining equipment, structures and assets to identify potential failures, assess equipment health and recommend appropriate maintenance actions. Make use of theoretical understanding and practical experience in operation to design and implement relevant and fit-for-purpose maintenance programs to maintain technical areas, optimise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
